What the readiness test covers
- the Magento 1 version signals visible from the public storefront;
- indications that the store may already be based on OpenMage;
- publicly visible PHP and known security signals;
- public extension assets and standard or custom frontend theme paths;
- the likely migration path and the level of technical review required.
What requires installation access
A reliable migration plan also requires an inventory of installed extensions, local and core code changes, class rewrites, theme overrides, payment and shipping integrations, cron jobs, database state and the current deployment process. Public extension assets are only signals and do not provide a complete module inventory.
This is an OpenMage readiness assessment, not a promise that the store can be upgraded through a blind file replacement. Any production plan must include a recoverable staging migration, compatibility work, application testing and a defined rollback procedure.
